The rows of pins surrounding the deadbolt "hole" are retractable on impact. As a result, the retractable pins allow the Sure-Strike strike area to accommodate your deadbolts. In essence, the Sure-Strike strike area moves to wherever your deadbolt requires - whether the deadbolt is striking to the right of the hole, to the left, above the hole, or below. That's why it's the strike plate that makes deadbolts dead-on.

Built to Last
Sure-Strike is made of high performance composites with the ability to survive extreme climate changes. The inner workings of the Sure-Strike are made of stainless steel, making it highly resistant to corrosion and rust. The cover plate is made of cold-rolled steel and is much thicker than the common strike plate. The 3-1/2" screws are made of hardened steel.

The Sure-Strike is hidden away into the doorjamb and is hardly noticeable. It also comes in various finishes to match your existing door hardware. In addition, the Sure-Strike cover plate often covers all prior damage from moving the common strike-plate back and forth.
